Question (on screen): What’s the most important leadership lesson you’ve learned in your career?
Matt Benchener: One of the most important leadership lessons I’ve learned in my career is the importance of a diverse team. The best teams are marked by great debate, differing perspectives, and coming at issues from many different angles. That leads to the best outcomes.
The teams that aren’t diverse end up in an echo chamber and will often miss things that are really important when making big decisions.
